Fire Door legislation

Fire doors are designed to reduce the spread of a fire which will slow down the process of a fire spreading or smoke spreading more rapidly. They come in different protection ratings i.e. FD30 is half hour fire rated and FD60 is one hour fire rated.

It is now a legal requirement of all business premises and HMO landlords to conform to the latest building and fire regulations to ensure that their existing doors and components are up to date.
